McKinley, the Pack leader of the Steamboat Springs dogs, suddenly has more problems then he can seemingly handle. Not only must he protect his family and the pack, but now he has the additional burdens of a challenge from the leash-licking Irish setter Redburn, the salvation of the greyhound Duchess from her abusive owner, and the sudden appearance of a female wolf, Lupin. Lupin wants to recruit dogs from the pack to strengthen her diminishing wild wolf pack.
Then, the humans become involved.
