Kate was being sent on assignment to the Kingdom of the Golden Dragon in the Himalayas for International Geographics. Alexander, her grandson, had accompanied her to the Amazon and the City of the Beasts and was determined to join her on her new adventure. Actually, Kate had planned on tricking him into joining her and was thrilled at his unsolicited interest, even though she'd never admit it to Alex. She had also enticed Nadia Santos, Alex's friend whom they had met in the Amazon, into joining them.
Elsewhere, the multimillionaire 'Collector' had contracted with the 'Specialist' to steal the fabled Golden Dragon, which was rumored to have the ability to foresee the future. The Collector was determined to become the richest person in the world. He was sure that the acquisition of the Dragon would accomplish that end.
On the other side of the world, Dil Badahur, Prince of the Kingdom of the Golden Dragon, was nearing the end of his training at the hands of his master Tensing, a giant Buddhist monk, in the heights of the Himalayas. It had been many years since he had seen his father, the King.
Inevitably, their paths would all intertwine in unexpected intensity and the secret of the Golden Dragon would ensure a surprise ending to the whole affair.
