First the good news. Victoria Von Woolf has just won an on-line magazine Wild X-plorer contest. She has won a trip to Antarctica. She will be the star of an on-line adventure travel series. She is thrilled that finally she will be able to start her career as an astrophysicist. Victoria could feel the high-pitched moan of the wind. She could see the pure blue sky and feel the sting of air so clean, telescopes could see forever. She was going to the South Pole!!!! Unfortunately, now the bad news. Victoria is only in sixth grade and she is sitting Dr. Harden’s office trying to explain why she hacked into the school’s computers and rewrote the counselor’s report that had been written about her. Victoria insists that it was just a joke, that she had been doing it just for fun. Dr. Harden tells Victoria that the runner-up, Alexander Poole will be going in her place. Madeleine Sinclair talks to Victoria and decides that she is the best protagonist for their zine. Victoria is ecstatic and can’t wait. Victoria frequently lives in a dream world, but soon her life will be far more exciting than she could dream. Things aren’t, as they seem as the unscrupulous e-zine people have ulterior motives. Will Victoria triumph or???????
